What a lovely service. Fay and I spoke of this day numerous times and the service is exactly what she wanted, with her two great friends Vernita and Marian doing their parts beautifully. Fay loved her family so much and Tim your lovely words spoken from the heart would have made her so proud.

Thank you Fay, or as I knew you from school, Mrs Fardon. You are the only teacher I tried to be like when I was teaching. However, I could never match your joy and enthusiasm as a teacher, for yours was limitless.

My mother loved reading your letters that you sent on such a regular basis. When her eyesight failed, she would ask me to read them to her on the limited time that I was able to spend with her because of the physical distance between us. Your words bought everyone a complete feeling of love and friendship.

I know everyone will miss you but also have a wonderful time remembering you, not only today, but always.

Fay was a wonderful caring Mum, Grandma and Great grandmother. We were so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know her in our visits to Kyogle. May she rest in peace.
